On September 16, 2025, the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) held a public consultation at Addis Ababa University, Commerce Campus Hall on the draft directive for Collective Investment Schemes (CIS).
The consultation created an open and engaging forum where stakeholders raised important questions, shared comments, and offered valuable perspectives.
The CIS drafting team responded directly, clarifying key provisions and reflecting on how the directive can help shape a well-functioning and inclusive collective investment market in Ethiopia.
This consultation was more than a technical discussion it was a moment of collaboration and shared vision. By bringing diverse voices together, we move closer to building a robust, transparent, and trusted regulatory framework that reflects the needs of Ethiopia’s capital market ecosystem.
