The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) held a public consultation on the Draft Foreign Portfolio Investment Regulation, bringing together stakeholders and interested participants to discuss the proposed regulatory framework and provide their feedback.

During the consultation, participants raised questions, shared comments, and offered suggestions on various provisions of the draft Regulation.

The consultation provided a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, raise questions and offer different perspectives on the proposed Regulation.

It also encouraged open dialogue among stakeholders and helped identify areas for further consideration as the draft continues to be reviewed and refined.

The consultation aimed to gather valuable input to further strengthen the draft Regulation and support the development of a transparent, well-regulated, and accessible capital market that promotes investor confidence and protects investors’ interests.
