The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority held a strategic discussion with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to advance collaboration in support of Ethiopia’s capital market development.
ECMA Director General Hana Tehelku held discussions with Samuel Gbaydee Doe, Resident Representative of UNDP Ethiopia, alongside the Deputy Resident Representative and the UNDP team.
The discussion reviewed progress on green and municipal bond initiatives, the regulatory sandbox, CISI scholarship support, and fund domiciliation, while also celebrating the continued support and strong partnership that have made these achievements possible.
It also explored new areas of cooperation, including climate finance, SME financing, the agro-climate sector, pipeline development, and preparations toward COP 32.
The engagement underscores a strong and evolving partnership, focused on building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable capital market ecosystem in Ethiopia.
