ECMA Brings Capital Market Awareness to the Judiciary

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) conducted an insightful training session for judges from across the Amhara Region at the Amhara Regional Court Judges’ Assembly held in Bahir Dar City.

The program showcased ECMA’s journey and key achievements since its establishment, covering a wide range of topics from the Ethiopian capital market ecosystem and market infrastructure to the role of judges and judicial institutions giving participants a clear and practical understanding of the market.

Hana Tehelku, Director General of ECMA, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to training programs that help stakeholders across the country better understand the capital market.

The session focused on strengthening the legal community’s knowledge and empowering judges to actively promote awareness and encourage participation nationwide.

The program also gave participants the chance to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the capital market, while Director General Hana Tehelku and other attendees joined a blood donation drive.

This initiative is an important step toward building a more informed, inclusive, and participatory capital market in Ethiopia.
