ECMA Engages Mekelle on Capital Market Growth

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) embarked on a successful two-day regional roadshow to Mekelle.

Our Senior management team engaged with the dynamic university community, large companies, and innovative startups, sparking insightful discussions about the future of Ethiopia’s capital market and what opportunities it brings to the Tigray region.

We had the privilege of connecting with faculty at Mekelle University, discussing the role of capital markets in driving economic growth and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

We also met with members of the business community, exploring how the capital market can serve as a powerful tool for expansion, investment, and economic integration. Engaging with local startups was another highlight of our visit. We discussed the unique challenges and opportunities for emerging businesses within the capital market framework. It was exciting to see the innovative spirit and potential that the region’s startup ecosystem holds.

As we continue our journey across Ethiopia, our goal remains clear: to build a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable capital market that benefits all Ethiopians. The discussions in Mekelle reinforced our commitment to ensuring that every region has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from our nation’s economic growth.
