The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) has granted a Capital Market Service Provider (CMSP) license to Awash Capital S.C., authorizing the company to operate under the Investment Bank (within a banking group) category.

This marks another key milestone in the market’s development, bringing the total number of licensed CMSPs to thirteen (13) and the total number of investment banks to four (4).

ECMA’s Director General Hana Tehelku presented the license and congratulated Awash Capital S.C. on the approval of its five (5) board directors and the licensing of four (4) Appointed Representatives.

This new addition reflects the growing confidence in Ethiopia’s capital market and ECMA’s commitment to ensuring a competitive, fair, and robust market that supports sustainable growth and investor protection.
